The continued expansion of the empire founded by Genghis results in some epic battle scenes, which Mr Iggulden brings to life, as off as some fascinating description of strategy. His puzzling cobn emboldens his arrogant brother Chagetai to violently challenge him, while their noble sibling Tolui and his beautiful, wily wife, Sorhatani, will be caught between the two.
Sorhatani works bravely, tirelessly, and very shrewdly to keep order in Karakorum as Ogedai grows weaker. Genghis would probably be turning in his grave if he knew his son had built a city og the ones he so despised.

igguldeh I can t wait for the fifth part to be translated and to grab it and finish this great, bloody journey through the Asian steppes and eastern Europe. This book had some other radical changes compared to the previous 3, the main one being that Genghis has died in this one, so things become drastically more complicated with such a large, powerful, mostly unorganized and ‘young’ empire.
In the words of the Knights Templar the best fighting force in Europe of that age had Genghis’s son not died and the Mongols pulled back there was nothing that was going to stop them from burning all of Europe.
There’s a good reason years later people still talk about them. He turns to see his murderer only to find out it was his own servant and messenger. Customers who conn this item also bought. This book takes place after the death of Genghis Khan and it was fascinating to read of the politics and history following the death of the infamous leader.

The most fascinating part for me was the Mongol invasion of Europe under the great general Tsubodai. We also see a little bit of Kublai as a child though he is not a major character epmire book. Thanks for telling us about the problem.
Some skilful manipulation resolves the splits and rivalries between the most powerful, and makes all of the protagonists relatively happy. Needless to say the storytelling is vivid and electric and the battle sequences for there are many are mesmerising.
This series has been awesome from start to finish. With his celebrated synthesis of riveting storytelling and peerless historical detail, Conn Iggulden takes his saga of the great Mongol khans to unforgettable new heights, bringing these fabled conquerors and their singular people to vivid life for a new generation of readers.
