All of the stories were very interesting and taught me something new or gave me a new perspective on certain topics. This is not your typical self-help book, so I would definitely recommend it to anyone! I don’t usually choose to read or like reading that genre of books but I fell in love with this one. I loved how the book turns into a self-help guide as you read story after story and begin to find yourself in Demian’s problems and canhe to implement Jorge’s pieces of advice into solving your own daily struggles. The stories are brilliantly told, and what makes them even better is Jorge carefully choosing them and adressing them to each of Demian’s hardships.
Making it easier for the reader to recognize a situation in his life where a certain lesson should be applied. This was my second time re I loved how the book turns into a self-help guide as you read story after story and begin to find yourself in Demian’s problems and start to implement Jorge’s pieces of advice into solving your own daily struggles.
This was my second time reading this book, with barely remembering having it read the first time.

Books like this make you feel like you were sleeping, and suddenly woke up to something you already knew but didn’t know how to approach. Touching, thought-provoking and heartwarming: My all time favorite book, after Crime and Punishment from Dostoyevsky. I found this book almost therapeutic. It probably helps if you relate to Demian the protagonist.
The book is about his sessions with his therapist Jorge who tells him little stories that are both inspirational and salutary. While following Demian’s story of personal development and self-discovery I almost felt as if Jorge was also my therapist. There are no discussion topics on this book yet.
